General Qualifications, Computer Skills, Work History, Volunteer Work History, Education, Activities
My primary qualification is that I learn very quickly. When faced with a situation that is new for me, I am often able to determine a solution on my own. If I cannot find a resolution to a particular problem, I generally need only ask once to attain a satisfactory working knowledge of any situation. I do not fear asking questions or displaying my ignorance if I do not understand something, because I know I do not know everything, and other people may know better than I.
I am very much a people person, and know how to resolve conflicts with acuity. Once I know something, I can teach it with patience and discernment, without becoming frustrated. Also, I understand that any job requires interaction with others, and I do not shirk from that interaction.
I also do not shy away from certain jobs. I understand that being a janitor is as necessary as being a CEO, and I am not embarrassed by doing a job that no one else desires. Granted, if given the choice, I would not voluntarily choose certain jobs, yet when given a job, I will attempt to perform it to the best of my abilities.
* Computer Skills *
· I have been working with computers since 1986. I have worked intimately with computers ranging from the Atarii all the way up to Pentium IIIs. I have dealt with both PCs as well as Macintoshes, and have dealt with Windows NT, 98, 95, and previous. I have a working knowledge of Excel, Word, Works, MS-DOS, Internet Explorer, Netscape, Outlook Express, and several other commonly used programs.
· While I have not done much on the hardware end of computers I have dealt with auxiliary problems such as printer and monitor concerns, speaker problems, and so forth.
